Dr. joshua profitt, dds
Dr. Joshua Profitt is a dedicated General Dentist, born and raised in Dartmouth, NS, and now living in Enfield. He earned his Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biology from Carleton University before obtaining his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Dalhousie University.
Known for his kindness, compassion, and excellent bedside manner, Dr. Profitt is committed to providing gentle, patient-centered care in a comfortable environment. He takes pride in being readily available to his patients, ensuring they feel supported every step of the way.
With a passion for continuous learning, Dr. Profitt has pursued additional training in Oral Implantology at Goethe University in Germany. His dedication to advancing his skills allows him to offer the latest in dental care and treatment options.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Profitt enjoys spending quality time at home with his fiancée, going to the movies, and embracing the peace and quiet of nature. He’s also an avid baseball fan, a fitness enthusiast, and loves making memories with family and friends.
Sarina, rdh
Sarina began her career in Dentistry, working as a Dental Assistant, before eventually graduating from the Dental Hygiene program at George Brown College in Toronto in 2018. She mainly worked in Ontario before her and her husband decided to move out to Nova Scotia in January 2024. She loves to help others and educate her patients about their oral health while providing gentle yet thorough cleanings. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their three pets, including a dog, a bird, and a rabbit. In her spare time, Sarina loves to relax by crocheting, combining her creativity and attention to detail with her love for hands-on activities.
Krista, receptionist
Krista graduated from Holland College as a Level II Dental Assistant in 1996. She spent the first 10 years of her career chairside before transitioning into dental administration. With over 25 years of experience in the field, Krista is excited to bring her expertise and passion for patient care to East Hants Dental Centre.
Originally from Miramichi, New Brunswick, Krista has called Nova Scotia home for the past 20 years.
Outside of work, Krista enjoys vacationing and spending time outdoors—whether it’s hiking, sitting around a campfire, or enjoying a day at the beach. She is also actively involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters, giving back to her community in a meaningful way.
